Original Chicken Box is a must-visit whenever I travel from Florida to Baltimore to see my family. I'm always happy to support this establishment. My go-to meal: crispy chicken and a fluffy buttermilk waffle, paired with a self-served half-and-half. It never disappoints!
I freaking looooove their food! I mean it’s amazing! Their fried shrimp is amazing! It’s my favorite thing! Their french fries are perfect, their banana pudding will make your day brighter! The waffles “AMAZING”!!!! My husband LOVES their fried chicken and waffles and he is so picky it’s usually really hard to please him! Now that peaches n cream bread pudding will have you ready to melt! It’s soooooooooo good. I mean just warms the soul!!! I absolutely love this place and whenever I’m having a rough day I can count on the wonderful staff and amazing food to lift my spirits!! The picture of the bread pudding on the plate was so good, I remembered to take a picture finally when I was almost finished lol! That bread pudding is definitely stand alone good !!! Even if you ate it alone and warm it’s worth it!!!
I love this place. The food is spectacular, service is great. Owner is super nice and staff is great. I go every chance I get. I recommend this place to any fried chicken lover. My favorite is the chicken nuggets and my husband loves the shrimp. The tasty bread is awesome. 5 stars .
First time going. I placed the order online. I read through the reviews and decided on 3x blueberry waffles (xtra syrup/butter), and 9 tenders. Chicken was seasoned well, piping hot and still crisp when got home. Them tendies are big too! Waffle was great, its not normal mid-tier waffle batter its got a nice sweetness to it(reset your expectations on having a ‘crispy’ waffle with butter sweating in a take out container otw home, its never gonna happen, lol) You want crispy waffle, recommend to eat in :). Only thing id do differently next time is not order extra syrup, they give enough already. Staff when I came were all smiles and super nice. My order was done as soon as I walked in the door, I ordered about 10mins prior. Some of the reviews from months ago really had me concerned but Id say they def turned it around! def go if you havnt yet!
What a surprise this was! My wife and I got the two different chicken sandwiches, one spicy one original and then I got some Korean barbecue wings I heard there’s a chicken sandwich war going on well if there is this place is winning. It was by far one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. The sandwiches are big. they’re pretty much a meal by themselves. And the wings, deep-fried and then rolled in the sauce of your choice, they’re not the biggest Wings Ive ever had but they are meaty enough. The fellow that works there recommended the banana Puddin. It’s not something I normally would go for put on his recommendation. I tried it. It made a fan out of me. It was almost like a sugar cookie crust at the bottom and thick banana pudding with chunks of bananas throughout. It was absolutely great. And the people working there, couldn’t of been lovelier. They truly made the dining experience, enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend anybody in the area or even out of the area to give this place a shot. You won’t be sorry.
I’ve been getting the fried chicken and sides from here for a while. But on January 4 I visited looking for something different, however, I didn’t ask. I just got what I usually get from there chicken and sides. After I order I saw a chopped fish sub combo. I said I’ll get it next time. Well let me tell you next time was today baby January 18, 2025. I got the the chopped fish sub combo and it was flipping amazing one hour and a half later cold because I went to the mall shopping. I couldn’t wait to eat when I got in the house. I didn’t heat it up, I just unpacked it and dove in. I have definitely declared this is the only place I’ll get my fish sub combo from for the rest of my life. Simply amazing customer service in Food. The chicken is amazing also. The fish is delicious too.
The Original Chicken Box is so cute! Black owned and they take good care of you. Food is so delicious I forgot to take a pic before diving in. Will be returning to try the chicken and waffles. I got an 8 piece chicken nugget with the greens and everything was a 10. Fried to perfection!
Ordered the blueberry waffle with chicken tenders. The best chicken n waffles I’ve ever ate. The waffle was very fluffy and had great taste. The chicken was O-M-G finger licking good. The staff was very friendly and food is made to order. The ONLY negative was the meal being 20 and that is before taxes. Overall the food and experience was great!
